What data do we collect?
The app requests your postcode, which is collected by the app and used to determine whether you are a resident of the community associated with any comments you leave.
When you leave a comment, Shared Futures app saves the following data and metadata:
- The comment you input
- A unique generated user ID
- A date-time stamp
- Identifiers for the site and area you are commenting on
- Whether you are a local resident of that site (e.g. Yes or No)
How do we collect your data?
You are asked to enter your postcode at the launch of the app. This information is stored on your device, and never sent to our server.
How will we use your data?
The comments you submit, and the associated metadata listed above, are sent to our UK-based server for the purpose of moderation and approval to be viewed by all users of the app.
We collect this data in order to better understand the needs of the Belfast communities. User comments are used to facilitate a discussion about future developments in the interface communities.
By submitting a comment, you agree that Animorph Ltd will share the collected data with our partner organisations, so that they may use it to make community improvements based on the in-app comments
Our partner organisations are:
- Belfast Interface Project
- The Northern Ireland Executive
- Belfast City Council
- University of Essex
Your data will not be used for any marketing purposes.
How do we store your data?
Your comments and the associated metadata are stored on a secure server located in the UK.
Your data protection rights
Animorph Ltd, Our Company, would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access
You have the right to request Our Company for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
